Berakhot 6

I am not sure what to make out of mention of the afterbirth of a first born female black cat. For me, today’s reading suggests the importance of praying in a community (i.e., is a synagogue.) But the text also mentions that God is with the single person who mentions his name. As a result, is it correct to surmise that God is with us whenever we pray and not only within the confines of a synagogue. Can he be with us always?
